Thank You TEAM you did a tremendous job last night (24 Dec)! Not only last night but the night before too! Tho’ the night before we had some technical problem and that didn’t stop us, Y-O-U (each one of you) pick up so well!!!

I can see and feel that you literally when ALL out! I was very touch by you all for the effort and the die-hard attitude that you all carried despite the hick-up that we had the night before. Because of that last night turn out to be a tremendous night with God’s presence so thick that many can’t deny His presence!

The people felt this and respond to His call is because Y-O-U play a part. It is because Y-O-U chose to believe for the miracle that God is going to do and also place in your very BEST at where you where serving. When you place in your very BEST to do His work, our God work become super awesome!

NOW we are the talk of the town! You gals and guys made history the last two days do you know? Never ever KK had experience such Christmas before! Be proud, for you were part of making that difference! More will come….

So ladies and gentlemen continue to keep you head high, give in your very BEST, strive for Excellence and keep check of that humility too! I can’t ask for a better TEAM!

Y-O-U rock! And is the coolest TEAM that I can ever lead! Am SUPER proud of you!

A TEAM to be proud of! UNITY!!

Hello Team! It has been awhile since I blog! As you know from the photos you will know what I want to blog about already :-)

First of all I would like to thank the committee for doing such a splendid job with the outing and I know you all have put much hard work into it! A BIG thank you to Christina and her team i.e. Alan, Erin and Prescilla (she was included into this team last minute and she did extremely well too).

Secondly, I would like to thank all those that have made an effort to participate in this outing. I know in today’s world TIME is a factor and most of us don’t have enough of it! Thank you so much for being there and making this outing a success.

After the outing, tho’ it was super short, I felt in my Spirit that the TEAM is different! And felt that the outing was able to connect, refresh, challenge, and build! This was exactly the purpose of the outing! Then reading all your testimony I found that it is indeed a confirmation! We will post parts and pieces of your testimony in this blog so look out for it.

Let us continue to CHARGE for Jesus and CROSSOVER! Let us crossover TOGETHER as a strong TEAM! Don’t let the friendship that was built in the outing die down BUT instead BUILD it stronger and to the next level! Let us learn to ride on each other’s strength! 1 Cor 12:14 – for every member is important! Continue to pursue after one another within the TEAM and be a great example! Let’s build this FAMILY strong and further. Bring in those friends of yours who are not in the ministry yet to be a part of this family.

Continue to serve the Lord with CONFIDENCE!

The "CARING BALL" is rolling!!

I received a message from my Guardian Angel this morning.
Just a simple sms(not her own hp no of course), it meant a lot to me!
It's so blessed that my GA remember me and made effort to show her concern.
I felt warmth in my heart when I read the message.
It's very encouraging, all the more I want to do something for my Baby Angel when my Guardian Angel showed her love and care towards me.

GUARDIAN ANGEL / BABY ANGEL

This is a “caring system” initiated by the Welfare Department :)

No one can look after a group of people well better than when everyone look after everyone in the individual level, right?

Therefore, how this GA/BA works is - each of us need to take up the “guardian angel” role to another member of the team who is our “baby angel”. We will run this caring system from now until Tech Outing day… after that, hopefully this caring system will become our culture & lifestyle!! :)

Objectives:

To cultivate a culture of intentional caring for one another
To mobilize team members to get to know one another better
To increase our sensitivity towards one another’s needs.

Guidelines:

To remain entirely discreet/anonymous in our identity when caring for one another by not disclosing one’s baby angel to another person (to promote unconditional care to another person and avoid comparison)
Not giving expensive gifts to avoid comparisons. To offer words of encouragement through short notes is most appropriate.
To show kindness consistently throughout this GABA duration, not showing kindness one-time only before the Outing.
To do only uplifting acts and encouraging words towards our baby angel, intending only for good. Not giving critics or passing judgment. De-briefing session after Sunday services is still the best feedback session, so do not need to do this anymore as GA to your BA.
Before deciding any actions toward your BA, ask “How do I show my appreciation to my BA?”
Do not make comparisons on how baby angels are being cared for and for baby angel, there’s no need to attempt reply to his/her guardian angel or find out who is he/she before Outing.
Feedback to Welfare Committees or Tech leaders whenever deem suitable.

Let’s start the “caring ball” rolling!! And fill our Tech lives with full of care and love :)

Tech Team Outing 15th-16th September 2009

Hi there,

Finally the long awaits Tech Team Outing is here!!

Seeing how TECH team putting in great effort and much time in serving for the past months, and the willingness to walk the extra miles for our Lord and the advancement of His Kingdom, it’s time to gather the Team together, get to know each other better and have lots of fun.

The committee (that is your beloved Welfare Department) is cracking their heads to make this event possible – they have inspected few places to ensure the suitability and even to the extent of spending a night there, tasting the food, checking-out the accommodation and scrolling along the beach… :) Awww... Real hard work! So, YOU MUST COME FOR THE OUTING!

Aim:

Team building. Motivation. To have lots of fun!

Eligibility:

This outing is only open to GCC Tech Team members, and trainers (as approved by the leaders). Our big brother, Andrew Chow and his family will be invited too.

What you need to do:

All you need to do is registered yourself with Erin starting from 5 July 2009 onwards, and pay a registration fee of RM50 only. FYI, we have already been subsidized more than 30% Praise the LORD!

You can opt to pay the registration fee by weekly instalments of RM10 from 5 July 2009 but please make sure the total sum of RM50 is paid latest by the closing date.

The closing date is 2 August 2009

Getting yourself ready:

Just come prepare - to receive and be a blessing to one another.

Date/Time:

15th – 16th September 2009 (one night stay at the Resort)

Check-In: 8.30pm 15^th September 2009

Check-Out: 9.00pm 16^th September 2009

Venue:

Seaside Travellers Inn

If you do not know the place, don’t panic. Transportation will be provided.

Just meet at GCC before 7.30pm on 15 September 2009.

Please respect one another by being on time.

Further details will be provided as we get closer to the outing.

But if you approach the committee nicely (and bring them out yumcha!!), they may reveal more details to you.

过去的几个月我们不难看见队员们在服侍当中尽心尽力，全力以赴，为着上帝的国度努力，委身于基督。因此是时候让大家好好集在一块更加认识彼此，相互了解，并尽心玩乐。

郊游的委员会（也就是你们“心爱”的福利部）伤透脑袋为你们尽心策划，如参观多个场地，在度假村留宿，享受美食，在美丽的海滩漫步等等 - 工作十分辛苦！所以你们必须来参与！

你也可以选择分期付款。从2009年7月5日每周交付10令吉，但总额必须在截止日期还清。

Merry Christmas TEAM!!! Oh oh… or rather HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009! Thank you to each and every ONE of Y-O-U! You guys have just been a superb TEAM and your partnership… NO one can match! We the leaders are very proud of you all for performing so well in such a tense event BUT you all managed to keep calm and weather through it!

Su Shen or Leonie as some of you know her, has called to convey her “Thank You” to you all too. She felt that this year the team to her has performed extremely well and so chun the timing she said :-) I said of course!!! I have the BEST team in town! Remember this was a team Spirit it was not just because we worked well as a team it’s because Su Shen too has put in a lot of effort to prepare for us the details that the Tech Team needed. We too need to be proud of her and thank her! So gals and guys say “Thank You” to Su Shen when you see her ya!

Fui Lee is also very grateful for the TEAM! She appreciates the effort that we as a Team have put in to ensure that every detail of the events is covered and taken care of. She was very worry in the morning of 24th BUT after chatting with me awhile through MSN she was much comforted as she realizes that GCC has the BEST TEAM in town =-D with that she was able to enjoy the Christmas Eve celebration!

Team both Su Shen and Fui Lee are the event manager for Chinese and English service respectively ya! So say thank you to them too because they had worked and protected the TEAM much these year to ensure that we will be able to function and give our best to the church and most of all God!

Once again TEAM the Tech Team leaders are very proud of each one of you and indeed it’s a blessing to have YOU to be part of the team! Keep up the good job and be ready to face the BIGGER hall next year! Continue to rise up from where you are as next year 2009 will be an even more challenging year!

Excellence has never been about skills BUT its about the attitude that is within us. To achieve excellence we need to have the right attitude. No one is able to achieve Excellency or success by not carrying the right attitude in life.

GCC Vision 10: Excellence for God

The excellence parameter that we should have is not according to our own human standard BUT it’s according to the standard of God! That’s why good to the sight of man is never good enough for God, therefore we shall continue to strive for the BEST! Giving our BEST to God will glorify His Name.

To achieve Excellence we need to put it into works! We can’t be just sitting around and not doing work as that doesn’t bring any light to the people that we come encounter with.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven Matt 5:16

The works that we do is not for ourselves BUT it’s for others to see how God is working through us! His Name will be glorified through the works that we do. Being in the ministry is not just being busy with practices, rehearsal or improving technicality BUT we are to reach out too! Reaching out to the lost souls is still our primary assignment as a believer! We are all called to do that! But it is through what we do (works) that will touch them!

How?
1. Readiness and Willingness of heart 1 Tim 6:18 Let them do good that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share.

2. Awareness of hearts and be Sensitive to other’s needs. Heb 13:16
But do not forget to do good and to share for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

3. Action plan Rom 12:13
Distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

Two important Questions for you this Christmas 2008:
1. How many souls you want to see coming to Church this Christmas Eve _____Chinese & ______ English?

2. How many souls you want to see responding to the invitation of the gospel? ___________

Be refreshed by the touch of God this Christmas even from this very moment! The grace and impartation of the Leaders to you has already been released all you have to do is received it and run with it! God is going to stir and work in and through you this Christmas so be a blessing to others.

Remember Christmas is always for someone else it’s not only for yourself! Watch the Video clip and know how much our Father God in Heaven loves you! Let us be that light for God to spread His good news so that our loves ones, friends, colleague, and those that we come across will not miss another year of it!

Today we had a wedding in our church and I must say we had the TOP professional photographer and a pretty good video company within our midst to capture the special moment for the couple!

Oh first of all CONGRATULATION to our very own Tech Team member Derek and Charissa for your special day! It’s our joy as a team to see you walk down the aisle today!

In the midst of the wedding someone walked up to me and said next time when you get a professional maybe you can consider this team of professional! I gave this person a stare and said why do I need to do that? I was totally puzzle why this person asked me to do that?

The person was also surprise by my reaction with the stare. I then continue and said why do I need to hire professional when I have my own professional GCC Tech Team? I trust my Team more with such event than any professional that money can hire! The person said, “Wah! You are very confident with your Team?” I retaliate and said OF course! I’m very proud of my Team!

Because I know deep down in me that when I hire my own team to capture and produce that special moment of mine, it will not only come with the result BUT it comes with every one of your hearts too! Again anything that is done with the hearts out weight any awards or professionalism!

I’m proud of you TEAM! Each one of you is important and makes the TEAM to be one of the kind! SO you are assured that for any special moment of mine you are to be “ON”!!!

Guidelines for Tech Testimony

Here is the guidelines for you to put your testimony together! Please don't forget to submit a copy of your testimony either through email, hardcopy or any other ways to Serena by Dec 7th 2008. Thanx!

1) Since when you join the church?
2) Then enter which section of the Team? And today serving in which section of the Team?
3) Enter with experience or without? Any skills before hand?
4) Why and how you enter the ministry/team?
5) How has the ministry/team helped you to grow or build you?
6) What you learn most from the Team?
7) What would you like the church to know that can encourage them to support, joint or be part of the team?
8) What is the ONE word that you can think of to describe the Team?

Hello Team!! Welcome to our new blog! This is a blog created for YOU, the TECH TEAM members! Am very excited with this blog as we the leaders will be able to communicate to each one of you at your own convenient time!

The purpose of this blog is not because we are the Tech Team so that we need to be high tech! The purpose of this blog is so that every member would be able to receive input from the leaders (as the team grow its difficult for us to gather all for this), keep track of the upcoming events (so that you have no excuse to say you forget), you will also enjoy easy access to any form that you need from this blog in due time and most of all this blog will be where you can post some of your comments.

You as a Tech Team member can post your write up here too. BUT your post will need to be submitted to Serena for approval and posting. We like you to make this your blog too! As we believe every team members carry something for the TEAM that’s why you are in this TEAM so make your presence known! Be a blessing to the rest of the TEAM member. Certain selected photos will also be placed here… Of course the photos will only be the Tech Team ya!

This blog is maintained by Serena F, Tracy W, Christina L and myself. I believe that the TEAM has lots to receive from these leaders that are maintaining the blog so get to know them more!

Remember relationship with one another is one of the elements of a strong and successful TEAM. Be excited TEAM!!!
